Capaero has a strong expertise in fatigue life enhancement by cold expansion. We propose several methods for fatigue life enhancing by adding compressive residual stresses into parts.
Our products focuses on assembly fatigue and fretting improvement by hole expansion and expanded bushing installation. Our capabilities covers design (with Finite elements analysis – FEA), tests in labs and production as a EN9100 certified company.
Capaero also developed a patented solution for bushing in composites. The Expanded Bonded Bushing EB² significantly improves load transfer on composite assemblies.
Capaero is exclusive distributor of West Coast Industries (WCI) products in Europe, Africa, Middle East, India and Russia including split sleeve tooling.

Coldworking tooling
Cold expansion tooling : Split sleeve, Split mandrel… We support aerospace designers in hole expansion for fatigue life enhancement. We are distributor of WCI tooling, and have a strong expertise in cold expansion from process design to implementation in production.
Expanded Bushings
Expanded Bushing for fatigue life enhancement and fretting prevention in mettalic parts ; higher load transfer in composite assemblies. We support our customers from design and simulation to manufacturing and installation in production with manual and automated process.
Composite drilling
We develop and manufacture an innovative device for Composite drilling avoiding delamination on composite. This equipment is qualified Airbus (A350 repairs) and suitable for repair and manufacturing.
We propose a complete KIT including CompDRILL, Drill unit and specific cutting tools.
